‘Jumpin Jehosaphat!’ That annoying ringing in your ears can be from lupus. Lupus isn’t usually the cause of ringing in the ears, often referred to as tinnutus, but it’s not unheard of for lupus to cause ringing in your ears. Tinnitus is oftentimes a manifestation that SOMETHING has gone awry in our nervous system; so a basic understanding of the nervous system is necessary to understand how lupus or other things can affect our nervous systems. Our nervous system is really composed of 3 nervous symptoms; the Central Nervous system (CNS), the Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) and the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS). The CNS is composed of and governs the activities of the brain and spinal cord.
